I had the pleasure of making images today of Joseph Marmo, a local artist who is making a come back of sorts to the local art scene.  

Joe was the featured artist at the opening of Alizarin Crimson Studio & Gallery 25 years ago. He went on to open a downtown Stuart art gallery right next to the old Ashley, which at one time he owned with his wife.  He created The Ashley’s beautiful glass work.

He has a wonderful creative space in his home filled with his art and glass work.

Joe and his art went silent for a while, but now he is resurfacing back at the spot he started with an exhibit at Georgia Abood’s Alizarin Chrimson Studio on 1st Thursday Feb 4th.  Joe is a good story, and a wonderful artist. We welcome him back to the art community.
